The Traditional Mobile Marketing
Traditional mobile marketing is a form of marketing that basically involves the use of moving vehicles to market a product or service. It should not be confused with the newer definition of mobile marketing, which means the use of mobile phones for marketing. To avoid perplexing the readers, the word traditional is added to refer to marketing via moving vehicles.
Overall, traditional mobile marketing has benefited a lot of companies who wish to improve on their overall marketing performance. Whether the marketing objective of a product is to launch a new line, to create awareness of a brand, or to increase sales of an existing product, traditional mobile marketing can be of great help to every company.
Traditional mobile marketing can come in many forms, the most common of which is the moving billboards. Basically, the whole body of the vehicle is covered with large graphical illustration of the product. The message could either be bluntly communicated through vivid pictures and messages or could be presented in a more creative and thought-provoking abstract representation. The graphics actually draw the attention of the people, not to mention, the additional audio constantly played throughout the whole trip of the moving billboard.
Many firms actually invest in the traditional mobile marketing with the belief that their marketing message can reach a wider segment of the market. This is because of the fact that vehicles are constantly seen on the road, allowing different people from any place to catch a glimpse of any attractive and colourful advertisement posted on a body of a vehicle.
